1200g Septic Tank and 1000g Pump tank installation, Sebastopol, Ca, Sonoma County
The Project:
Adobe Construction began construction on one of several septic system installations scheduled for 2024. The first phase of this installation involved an excavation for a septic and pump tank for this above grade mound septic system installed in Sebastopol, Ca. The tanks to be installed are a precast concrete 1200g septic tank and a precast concrete 1000g pump tank. Typically this installation would be conducted in one mobilization however there was an unexpected client schedule change. No problem though we are making it work!
Challenges:
Based on what we are used too the access was pretty good for this job site, still limiting us in machine size however the traditional septic tank truck had enough access to lift our tanks in which was great.
Soil Removal Process:
Prior to excavation we calculated how deep our excavation needed to be in addition to its width dimensions. The client did not want to have the soil off hauled from their property so we used a machine to move the excavated soil to a different location on their property.
Tank Installation:
After the excavation was complete and the tanks were in place we back filled with imported approved compacted fill. The imported fill was topped with surrounding native soil with the hopes that by the time we return to finish this job site vegetation would begin to grow again (exposed tanks are ugly).
Conclusion:
This was a quick 3 day installation that went without hiccups. Stay tuned as we will be back on this job site to complete the installation before the end of 2024!
